Another semi-clueless teller...
I was at the coin counter of a new dump bank this morning, pouring in my "poker winnings." A young bank executive saw that I had buckets of halves. "Those could be valuable, you know." he said. 'Huh, what do you mean"? "Those could have silver in them" he replied. "any half dollars made before 1963 have silver in them, and you could get $70 for a roll of them." ROFLMAO, but only after he had walked away.

You should have corrected him. Only 1971 halves contain any kind of silver.

I think you mean only the ones made after 1971. And you can get 70.00 a roll. LOL

You're right - I forgot to mention the 1971's. But they're so rare that I don't think of them too often!

all halves through 1970. 90% silver up through 1964, 40% silver 1965-1970.
