Who said Friday the 13th was a bad luck day! Took a little "roadie" and got six 40%ers from teller trays. But at my last stop I was lucky enough to get a 1921 Morgan Silver doller in AU condition right out of a teller's tray. She said she's had it for about two weeks. Amazing that no one else got it as it was sitting there in full view. Goes to show that "It's still out there."
Enjoy the pix.

Way to sniff out the keeper, Riley! How many silver dollars does that make for your CRH career? I just got a 1957 blue seal silver cert, series A, but that isn't much of a find.

Great score! And to think the teller just gave it to you for $1?? Wow, some people are really ignorant.

Namster took the words right out of my mouth. Wow , great score. Congrats. Am I understanding that you spotted the Morgan, or did you ask for large dollar coin? "Could I please have that dollar coin in your tray dear?" I would barely be able to contain myself. I'm wondering, was the teller very young? Blond? WTG Rileyboy.

Thanks everyone for your kind responses. It certainly was a lucky find. To answer Mercury1... Yup, the coin was sitting sideways in the teller's tray. The tray was a little off to her left, but still in plain view if you looked down. I always look down at trays if they are in view to see if there are any halves, silver dimes or quarters. I saw the silver dollar right away and asked if I could have it and she said sure. She was a foreigner, so she may not have known what it was. I don't think she was a full-time employee. Anyway, I am still amazed that no other customer or employee for that matter didn't recognize it. It was in such beautiful condition as the pix showed. To answer Palidin....This is about the 8th or 9th Morgan or Peace silver dollar that I have gotten CRHing since 2002. On Feb. 2, 2011 I got three from a teller's tray. I posted the pix back then on this forum. Anyway, It was a lucky Friday the 13th for me and also an early birthday present as today, July 14th, I turn 67. Where have all the years gone. Good luck to everyone and keep searching....."It's out there!"
All the best,
rileyboy
