Dumped the two boxes of halves today. Found three keepers in the reject tray:

1957 Washington Quarter
1964 Roosevelt
1964D Roosevelt

8-)

Went up to the teller to get my cash, spotted five silver quarters and six silver dimes in the teller's tray. I asked if I could buy all of her quarters and dimes. She goes, "Sure, all of 'em except the silver ones. My dad would kill me."

:angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4:

She's lucky she's extremely cute and flirty!

EDIT: forgot to mention I picked up a box of dimes and $470 worth of CWR halves after dumping. Pretty sure the halves are someone's dumps, hopefully they missed a few 40%ers.

The box of dimes gave up one keeper: 1964D.

Skunked on the halves. They were definitely someone's dumps. Every wrapper was labeled and post '70 P.

The weird thing... they were all marked in some way, some even painted green and orange.

Who takes the time to organize dumps like that?

What does it all mean, Basil?!

It was someone's collection, that person collected and organised those halves and either the collector or his/her heirs decided to cash them in.

Just because there was no silver, doesn't mean it is not someone's collection.

Yeah, but who would collect marked coins? Every single coin had some sort of mark on it. Some were even spray painted.

Unless they were collecting the different marks and not the coins themselves, haha.

Picked up a box of halves + $19 worth of loose halves. One 40%er found in the loose: 1968D.

Also picked up $200 worth of mixed CWR and MWR of dimes.

The box of halves and $200 in dimes will be for tonight. I've got housework to do right now.

EDIT:

The box of halves was a skunk, bringing my skunk streak to ten.

The $200 in dimes gave up three keepers, all from the MWR:

1941 Merc
1946
1963D

Dumped the halves and dimes from Saturday today on my lunch break. Found a 1957 Washington quarter in the reject tray!

Picked up a box of halves + $135 in mixed CWR and MWR and loose halves.

Found a 40%er in the loose halves: 1968.

One of the MWR of halves was wrapped in an OLLLLLLLLLLLD Trump Taj Mahal wrapper. Looked like it had a 40%er reverse on one end, can't wait to bust that roll open tonight!

Taj Mahal roll was a skunk.

The $130 (minus the $5 in loose from earlier) in mixed CWR and MWR was a skunk.

The box, however, gave up four 40%ers:

1966
1967 x 2
1968D

Just ended a ten-box skunk streak. 8-)

The four 40%ers, plus the one I found earlier in the loose, plus the quarter I found in the reject tray when I was dumping made for a pretty good day.

Picked up a box of halves + $130 in CWR quarters and $80 in CWR dimes. Found a 40%er in the teller's tray: 1969D.

Skunked on the quarters and dimes.

Box of halve gave up one 40%er: 1968D.

Two 40%ers is better than none.

The halves and quarters from Thursday were skunks, finally got around to dumping them today.

Found two 40%ers in the teller's tray: 1965 and 1967.

Picked up a box of halves that I just finished going through, gave up two 90%ers: 1964 x 2!

Dumped the halves from last night, found three Ikes clanking around in the machine. Thanks for the rebate, whoever!

Picked up a box of halves, this box is a cube-style one. Only my third one of these, the last two were skunks.

Found a 40%er in the teller's tray when picking up: 1968D.
