R.I.P. Rich Hartford, You'll be missed.
Hopefully August doesn't start how July ended off!
Hey folks, July has been an OK month, but had a horrible ending... the past few days have been my largest volume day of the month:
$75 in pennies(3 boxes)- 2 wheats(mostly 2012 pennies)
$1,750 in dimes(7 boxes) gave me 2 roosies both from 1 box- yet again, mostly new stuff.
$1,500 in halves(3 boxes)- nothing
and I even tried a box of quarters to test my luck...
$500 in quarters(1 box)- SKUNK
so all in all, 30,000 coins to dump and only 2 wheat pennies(1957 and 1957d), as well as 2 silver dimes(1946, 1964d)
HH
Buff
just hoping for a better August!

hopefully you rally in August! July was an average month for me as well thanks to my rally. Between Friday, Monday, and Tuesday I had over 70 keepers from 20 boxes!
good luck to you in August!

I'm with you; hoping August is better than July. I need one of those killer boxes like Bigheed pulls. Actually one that is 1/4 as good as his last major strike would be more than huge to me.
Or just hit the Powerball. Either way.

Then I could get a warehouse and roll in the Brinks truck full of halves like the Portland mint guy does with Pennies!

Hey BB, I feel ya. I have had weeks where 20 plus boxes only spit out 3-5 keepers. Skunk after skunk can get old.

Remember it's a hobby and you get skunked more often then rewarded so don't quit your day job

I don't know how you keep going Buff. I'd have quit long ago. I switched to pennies because I never found anything with halves, but if you aren't even finding wheats, I can't see the fun in it. Hopefully if you push through, you will be rewarded soon. Good luck!

believe it or not, pennies aren't bad when the new stuff isn't mixed in!
