Any tips on what to look for with Ikes? The only thing I've been able to find since my last post (here) is a couple hundred in Ikes. I know about the '72 variants, but are there any others worth anything?

I also set up an account at a local CU that has multiple branches, all with coin counters, and which will allow me to buy the bags, so hopefully I can get a decent pickup this weekend.

Some Ike's are 40% silver, about as much as a 90% half dollar.

Does the bank order them for you? That's a nice find!

First off, kevin, you are such an F-ing anarchist, I love it! Question for you is how the hell do you dump those Ikes?

Also, is it true that when children loose their teeth and leave it under their pillows as they sleep, Ben Bernanke comes and sprinkles fairy dusty on them and then punches them in the face?

He could be doing this. Seems like 25+% profit is reasonably doable with plain clad Ikes.

I pick up ikes whenever they have them. It's a fun way to save money because I don't like spending them to cashiers because you get weird looks but if you have to spend them there there. And my LCS pays $1.10 each for them so I mean if I could pick 10 up, thats a dollar profit, 100, thats 10 dollars, 1000 100, and so on.

I didn't realize coin shops paid extra for ikes. Very cool.
I usually spend the ones I get. It's fun going to a fast food joint and paying with a few ikes and seeing the cashier gawk at them excitedly.

Yeah. Theres some high and low relief ones too, don't ask me about those because I have no idea. I check for silver and errors with Ikes rest of them go to the LCS.

Some don't. I haven't found one that would buy mine over face value. My local guy buys them at face and sells them for $1.50.
