No, I probably did closer to 25 boxes this September. The 9 boxes was just this week. I also nailed a 1965, which I had yet to find up until now. Not in the best shape but still a rare find for me.

i find 1965 half dollars to be very hard to come by myself, i actually find more 1964 halves than 1965 halves.

Yeah, and I am still trying to snag my first 1970 as well. Seems like these two 40%ers are a bit trickier to find.

I found my first 1970 s proof on friday :D. Are they really hard to come by?

The 1970-D is a 40%er that was issued in uncirculated sets only. Here are the mintage figures for all the 40%ers.

1965 65,879,366
1966 108,984,932
1967 295,046,978
1968-D 246,951,930
1969-D 129,881,800
1970-D 2,150,000

1970-D is a key date of the Kennedy series, as there were no circulation strikes. The 1970-S has a higher mintage (2,632,810), but some proof coins are harder to come by, but there are other years that have fewer (ex. There were only 620,684 90% silver 2008 halves produced.) You would probably have a hard time at finding either in circulation, but they are by no means a rare coin.

HH!
