I didn't even know there was an Olympics half dollar. The 1965 kennedy looks like it has a mirror finish. Proof?

1996-S was a commemoritive of the 100th Olympics minted in 4 versions: Basketball, Baseball, Swimming, and Soccer. There were business strikes and proofs of each. The swimming lists in the Red Book for $175 for MS-67 and $50 for PF-67. The difference in prices was due to the difference in volumm minted. This is a very good find.

That's really similar to a half I found that resembled the New York state quarter. Yours is obviously Massachusetts. Cool find!

End results: I found 39 more 40% silver and the coins in the pic. 6 - 90% silver kennedys, 1953 and 1954 Franklin, 1940, 1942, and 1943 Walkers. Also, bicentennial "S" silver Kennedy, 2000 "S" silver Kennedy, 1990 "S" clad, 1993 "S" clad, and 1996 "S" clad.

Ring, I don't know what to tell you. I don't know enough about grading. But anything that has hit circulation has enough dings (even if you can't see them) to drop the grade down to MS60 +/-. I've been looking at commemoratives on e-bay lately but I haven't seen that one. I would show it to a dealer and see if he can narrow the grade and value down for you.

Also the 2000-S silver could be worth over $20.00 if its in good shape.
