Hi everyone,
I finally took the dive into searching halves. Ordered 1000 dollars worth. I bought 500 and a friend bought the same. Found the following:
2 90% including a 1957D Franklin.
11 40%.
and a 2002S clad proof.
My Buddy did even better.
2 90% (64s).
38 40%.
and a 1989S clad proof.
Needless to say I will be ordering more next week.
Also found 3 1998 type II reverse cents in the last week.
Happy Hunting!

Great job on the silver.

How many pennies did you search to find the type II's?

Bob

Found 2 of them out of $32.00 worth. After I finished those I checked some pocket change on the end table and there was the 3rd. I couldn't believe it!

Did you drop our rejects at the Wachovia on the corner of Dale Earnhardt and Hwy 29 in Kannapolis? I stopped there today to see if they had any SD state quarters and pick up free roll papers for my reject pennies and saw the lady sealing up a clear bag of $500 in halves to send back. I didn't buy them since they where lose and getting ready to be sent back to their supplier.

No Joe,
I drop them off at the First Charter in front of the hospital. They have a coin counter. The tellers were having trouble with the counter (they don't like it so they TRY to break it as much as possible). They had to take out a full bag and what does she see inside but a holed Franklin. Wish I could have gotten that one. Does the Wachovia have a machine also?

No counter... This was at 4:30 yesterday, you may want to stop by today and see if the truck picked them up yet.

No, not yet. But I am off of work starting this weekend until Jan 2nd. I'm going to go back through the boxes of zincs I set aside after I finished hunting for wheaties and copper.
