Grats!

They do look extra shiny. Some of those might be SMS (Special Mint Set) issues. Do any of them have mirror-like finishes on them?

If they have a mirror finish they are most likely proof coins that are only sold in mint sealed packages. Looks like someone opened the package and spent them. Protect them from getting any more scratches and fingerprints.

Not sure (don't have my redbook here at the office) but I think proof sets that were made during the 40% years were really 90% silver. Could be wrong on this.

All halves minted during 1965 - 1970 were 40%, there were no 90% minted. The only proofs minted during that time were 68, 69 and 70 with the S mintmark. There were not any proofs minted during 65, 66 & 67.
