My cwr dimes have been lousy the last year or two. I decided to look at my average from just the first month or so of the new year, involving $2k in boxed dimes vs $2,900 in cwr. It's not too difficult for me to get $1k or more in cwr's from just a bank or two, but I have several different sources, seems like they are just not producing like they used to.
The boxes continue to give up the goods.
I've found 24 silver dimes from $4,900 searched this year, or, 1 silver per $204.
The boxes ($2,000) have produced 9 rosies, 3 mercs, and 2 silver canadians for 1 silver per $142 searched.
The customer-wrapped ($2,900) have produced 8 rosies and 2 canadians for 1 silver per $290 searched.
I've hit the cwr dimes hard the last couple years hoping for a solid roll. None so far, over $100,000 searched.
The $800 in cwr dimes I picked up today gave up 1 silver rosie and a ratty '65 canadian.
The box gave up 3 silver rosies and 1 '64 canadian.
And somebody dumped a handfull of Caymans.
