Tried my first dime box today. Here's what I found.
2 1964
2 1963
1 1962
1 1945 merc

Not to shabby, I was just happy it wasn't a skunk! Thanks to everyone that has offered me advise.

Thanks! So I assume this is above average? Does anyone know if any of these have a higher value than silver melt value? I am not a coin collector, just started doing this for the silver.

Congrats!

Your first dime box is better than most peoples' all-time best box. To put it in perspective: I have searched ~45 boxes total. Those 45 boxes have produced 11 silver dimes total. So yes, 7 silver dimes in a box is a tad bit above average. The dimes you found are all worth melt.

The Merc may be a dollar over melt at most, the rest are worth melt.
