Hey everyone, well, I did 22 boxes this week ( whewff, alot for me) of the 22, 17 were skunks, I got 6 last night which is where this came from, only 5 produced, 1 was a skunk, the majority came really from 4 of the boxes and the most came from 1 box that had only 1 ender in the bottom of the box, but gave up like 30( I didn't keep good count) Silvers. I have had a string of skunks here as you guys know, 2 good hits in the last 60-80 boxes, but that is alot of skunks to go through to get this!
i tried to do a play by play with the pics for you, so they pretty much run in order of me opening the boxes up.

The highlights are= 1908 Barber! 2008s Silver proof!

Enjoy the pics, I hope they all load up, it took me about 25 min to do this. Good luck to everyone hunting today! HH, Maverick.

Well, upon doing the preview post, it seems it left out some pics, so enjoy what it loaded up.

Forgot to total everything for you guys. 67 40's and 19 90's, Thanks.

Yeah I hear you boris... But it is not mirror like finish like the clad proofs are.. Its not scratched much at all that I can see with the naked eye. I posted pics of it a while back... not sure what post though, because it wasnt even my thread

Very nice Mav! Another collection dump found by someone that deserves it, after plowing through all those skunks.
Proof (pun intended) once again that volume and persistents pays off.

Sweet score Maverick!!! At least someone is finding it. I'm in the skunks now, so it looks like you've got the Ag magnet pointed back in you direction. Hehe

HH

Hey FF, it will come back around, I allready did 4 more today and they were all skunks, it seems that when we first start it is better and just really tappers off, I could be wrong, but that is how it has been for me, 1 really good find then a long skunk streak then a box with 2 then a long skunk ect. ect. We'll never give up though, though I have come close, lol. HH, Maverick.

Great finds Mav! Love the pics, really high quality!

Thanks BH, I had to set the camera to its lowest pixel setting ( pc) to get to load so many pics, the site didn't load all of them and even mixed up my order from what I tried to post them in, You can also tell that it was getting darker out side as the pics kinda turn an amber color from the light in my kitchen, but I think you guys get the jist of the hunt, lol. HH, Maverick.

Gratz on the finds Maverick. When going through that volume am sure skunk streaks are there, hopefully you are on an Ag streak now though for a while =0

But it is not mirror like finish like the clad proofs are..

The technology wasn't there yet 1970. Most of them were mirror, but not cameo. A cameo proof would be rare from this time.

I have a 1954 Ben proof that came from an opened proof set that I bought (mine is a bit more toned, this is an example photo, note the non-cameo appearance):

Hey MAV, Sweet cull right there, glad to see an old silver and a new silver in one batch, both incredibly hard to find! I am still awaiting my first barber and first modern silver proof. Best of luck to you this week, hh

NICE!!! Gotta love finding those modern silver proofs!

Your score, particularly after the long string of skunks, just proves that it's all about volume.

Great job!
