So I've been pretty fortunate as of late. I went to the bank today riding 3 halves boxes in a row without a skunk. I had an appointment at 4pm which gave me about 20 minutes to tear into some rolls in the car. :laughing7: Usually I like to check every ender before I tear into my first roll, but being in the car I didn't have that luxury today. So I grab the first roll and there's a 40% ender staring me down. Awesome! I got through 17 rolls in that 20 minute time frame and had 9 40%'s, my first Franklin (1963), and another 1907 BARBER! I hated to leave this great box, but I eventually got back to it around 530pm. The other 33 rolls continued to produce from there.

Today's Results:

1 Franklin (1963)

Today's Barber is a little more beat up compared to last Friday's, but I'm not complaining...I was still very excited to see it. Four boxes in a row without a skunk!

No one has any info on this 1986D that looks chrome?

It looks chrome-plated. I have found ones that looked similar, but with three marks on them that looked like someone held it by some clips for plating by electrolysis (dipping in liquid solution).

Sounds like no added value. Guess I'll throw it back into the ocean.

Box 9 Results

Well, as you saw earlier, the streak was easily able to move onto nine in a row with the help of two enders and two reverse enders. The "Law of Enders" (borrowed from BuffaloBoy) states you should expect 10 silver for every 1 ender you see. In this case, the "Law of Enders" was just about right on! This box produced 41 40%'s! :headbang: One of those 40%'s was a 1968 S proof. I also came across a half with a severe pit and was not sure if it was PMD or an error. Here's some pics:

Box 9 Results: 41 40%'s including a 1968S

Nice box here to boost up the 40% statistics during the streak. The streak has now reached nine! And now, the overall streak statistics:

Boxes: 9
Barbers: 2
Walkers: 3
Franklins: 2

UPDATE: Streak in Danger!!!

During the streak, the latest sign of silver thus far has been roll #23. We are currently at the halfway point in the box with no silver in sight! :help: Will the streak live to see 10 boxes in a row or was box #9 the grand finale? Stay tuned!

Through 40 Rolls: No Silver!

10 Rolls to go!

Commentators:

"Tom, what does Team Sleepy need to do here to avoid getting skunked?" "Well Jim, I like the unrolling technique I've been seeing here, but the silver production just hasn't been there. They do still have 10 rolls left to see some results."

TEAM SLEEPY HAS PULLED OUT A MIRACLE! THE STREAK LIVES TO SEE TEN BOXES IN A ROW! TOM!" "Jim, I have never seen anything like this! What a box we just saw! This crowd is just going crazy!"

Box 10 Results

Well, that box certainly wasn't like the last box! It took 49 rolls, but finally silver was had. This box produced 1 40%. It also produced a 1973S Clad Proof.

1973S Clad Proof and 1968D 40%

The streak lives to see 10! Man, I still can't believe it. I was already thinking about what I was going to be writing to close out this streak thread. The streak will certainly come to an end one day, but that day will not be this day. Hopefully the next box doesn't put me through more of the same, but that box will have to wait. I will be out of town for the next week and doubt I will see any halves boxes. Here are the updated Streak Totals:

I'm really happy for you, but kinda jealous too. in a box, you found more than I have in 1.33 years. Crazy. Nice work. I just keep hoping I'll get one 1/4 that good (-:

Just getting lucky really. Guess it just depends on where you live and how many hunters are in your area.

Box 11 Results

It didn't take long for the streak to reach 11 in a row as this box brought with it an ender; however, the "Law of Enders" didn't come through for the home team as this box produced just 3 40%'s. It also produced a 0.999 NOT gold, bicentennial half dollar.
:tongue3:

The streak moves to 11, although with much less production than expected after seeing an ender. And...The Streak Results:
