Well I haven't done any boxes because I usually just get rolls. I don't have the extra cash to do a whole box at once. I've gone through 76 rolls so far this year and have found 2 which is better than I was expecting.

I own zero war nickels and havent really gone through any rolls, I think I should. I would like to just find one, but the idea of date searching just irritates me lol.

I only do nickels and cents for now so I date search all the time. I am searching a much lower volume than most of the people on Tnet though.

You'll miss the 1950-D, which is worth more than a war nickel.

You would not miss it if your knowledgable enough to know all mint marks are on the reverse up to 1964.

I only look at reverse and am not missing anything. If I see a mint mark, then I flip and hope for at 1938, 1939 or 1950.

It seemed like the poster who said to look at the backs only looked for the "big mintmark" on the back, and not for the smaller ones. I look at the face too, since there are so many 1964-Ds here, which would make me look at many coins. Also, I can find some P mints I need for my album

You should try a box. Just spread them out and it's pretty quick to go through them. And you can find a lot of different interesting coins.

Thanks! The craziest thing is that I have found 2 more since I found this one! I have gone through about 17 more rolls and found one 2 days ago and one yesterday. That is a total of 4 in a 7 day period! I don't know how long my streak of luck will last but I'm going to find one or two more before it ends.
