Clever title this month EE, it is April fools so, I guess you should have expected the skunks, I would have, lol. At least you're in that good pallet of halves now though, maybe this weeks boxes will do you good! HH, Maverick.

It took me some thinking to come up with a April title, they are not the easiest.

As for the skunks, its expected, I dont find much with those two denominations really, nickels especially. I found nothing last month with nickels.

As for the halves, they should hopefully produce. If things are back to a new normal, I should hopefully see around

3 - 40% per box
0.6 - 90% per box

or 0.7133 per box

Of course that is only 10 boxes into the new pallet but those are by current averages.

26 boxes due this month, lets see if the averages work out.. :)

78 - 40%
16 - 90%

18.5458 oz

Good luck this month, EE. I enjoy your stories of the auctions and I'm gonna try again at a different auction site this friday to see if I can find more reasonable prices.

Prices can go high one weekend and ultra low the next. You have to keep going over and over to get the deals.

So, last Saturday I hit a couple auctions. I ended up picking up a Mosfet 4x60 watt in dash DVD/CD/AM/FM/MP3/MP4 player for $15. Unopened so never installed. For giggles I went up to the pawn shop, looked at their gold, weighed a few items and went and got the DVD player. I already researched it, it sells for $208 online before shipping. He was willing to do a trade. Ended up getting a 14k ring that weighs out at 3.4 grams or a tad over $100 and a crisp $50 bill, I got my asking price.

Easy gold.

2 boxes of halves due tomorrow.

Two boxes of halves done today, both skunks. Monthly update done in my above post to save bytes.

In a couple days I am going to be taking a Telescope I purchased from a garage sale down to the pawn shop and try to trade that for some more gold. I hope to get $100 out of the telescope. I paid $40 and they went for $300 new.

Skunked on all 3. Updating above to save bytes since nothing new found.

I am running into those marked coins again from the high volume dumper, I am not through the pallet just yet, all 3 boxes had his mark. I guess I just hit a small pay streak.

Boxes this month so far have been horrible, I have 6 more to do on Friday, hopefully things change.

Fridays auction looks pretty good so far from the listing, hard to say for sure until I see some pictures and finally go to the auction itself to look things over real good.

LG. ASST. JEWELRY (SILVER, GOLD, COSTUME, ETC.)

Always a good thing for me to see.

Sunday is part 2 of 3 of the estate auction that I picked up the 33oz bowl from. Some pictures have been posted and more will be posted over the course of the week, so far, its looking damned good. My eye is mainly on the lot of fountain pens, most dont know their value and I hope no one there does.

The way this auction works, they wont do lot 1, than 2, than 3 etc. They might do lot 9 thirty minutes into the auction, then 20 minutes later do lot 1 with other lots from other people in between. This seemed to work to my advantage last time and I hope it does again this time.

I was thinking about playing a game, what do they weigh, I guess the weights from the pictures and find out the day of the auction how far off I am.. maybe..

More items are sure to be listed for Sundays auction and part 3 of this auction for the following Saturday.

Well, the estate auction had some wonderful news.. for someone with a whole lot more money than I currently have. I am quickly running out so I may be needing to liquidate some items very soon.

Seems the estate is so large, they have at least 18 more auctions due out in the next year to get everything sold. Today was auction 2, Saturday will be auction 3 and that following Thursday will be auction 4, which will be a box auction, bid on the entire box and you get whatever is inside. No telling what 'treasure' could be there, there is so much there. I saw the warehouse holding some of the items, its a lot of stuff.

So.. for part 2 this is what I got.

Salt and Pepper shakers for $5

Sterling Beaded Bracelet and a Bracelet with 14k beads on it

Won the bid on a flat of sterling spoons and other flatware, made out like a bandit on that one. I will be reselling some of the spoons if I can instead of melting them down but they will go in my tally for the month because they will get locked away otherwise.

IMAG0082.jpg IMAG0083.jpg IMAG0084.jpg

I also won bids on thirteen 14k pens. Some I will scrap and some I will resell. One of the employees of the auction wants to buy some of the better condition pens I purchased so there will be my chance to sell them above melt and reinvest that money in the next two auctions. Those pens wont be put on the list unless I scrap them, that will come tomorrow most likely when I do that.

IMAG0081.jpg

2 boxes of halves due Wednesday and Fridays auction looks good from the listing...

Hey EE.. Number 4.. The Ashtray... How do you know that is sterling? My mother actually bought one of those for me at a garage sale and I couldn't find a marking on it anywhere.. Did they make both sterling and plated ones? I was just never able to determine if mine was in fact silver.. I would appreciate any help you can give me... Love the post by the way.. COngrats on the awesome finds..
