    Box 1: skunk //2019's
    Box 2: 1954, 1959 //1x CAN
    Box 3: 1958D, 1962
    $130 MWR: 1960, 1963 Proof
    $145 CWR: skunk

Coin Counter: 194?-? Steel Cent, C$0.50 (including my now oldest 5Cents coin: 1961), 2010 1 Cent (BRB)

We actually found multiple silver coins today. Biggest find of the day was my first ever silver proof dime! It was especially a neat find since it was from the 1946-64 set (1950-64 for proofs). I often wondered how I might identify a silver proof from that era since they weren't made in San Francisco, but it turns out my half hunting came in handy here. It's one of those coins that has a mirror finish, but has a good amount of that grimy fog look to it. Not sure if you guys know what I'm talking about. I'm thinking about soaking it in dawn for a couple days to get that proof glow back. Anyway, pics below.

Sleepy: the DAWN soap might work ok on the silver proof. It worked on mine but still had a little milk effect on the coin. Found 2 Rosies in a box the other night, early in the box, however both were in the SAME ROLL three coins away from each other. They were the only silvers in the box, what a bummer.

Well, something crazy has happened. When I made this comment on Wednesday, I was more so referencing either a dream box or a solid roll. What we have been handed is something completely different altogether. Last night, the DOD announced that all personnel scheduled to move are to remain in place until at least 11 May due to the coronavirus outbreak. Maybe we'll see FDR #1000 before we move after all. I think this will cause me to push back the "10K in a Week" challenge. Don't really want to put that kinda stress on my dump bank till I'm for sure leaving, you know, with me apparently getting highlighted on their audit sheets and all. This will buy us at least an additional 5 weeks in the area, so 8 weeks total. We'll see if the military will let us move after that. Until then, we've still got two FDRs left to find!

Sleepy: what WOULD YOUR NEXT ASSIGNMENT location have been? Will this now change locations to somewhere else? At the vol you hunt, you just might make 1000 mark. Good luck on your RE-START.

Still scheduled to go to the same place, just gonna be delayed for the time being. I'll probably disclose my hunting grounds for the past year when I get to my next assignment.

Pick up banks have abbreviated hours right now and dump bank is limiting number of customers in lobby. Had to adjust a little, but still very doable. All banks said they were good with my dime hunting as usual. Really abused my travel sanitizer bottle today just to be sure. First time finding a clad proof ender today. Kinda cool I guess. 14 FDRs and a Merc today as well. Can't tell if there was ever a mint mark on it or not. That's it...I'm getting a microscope!

All pickup banks are still good with me coming in. One told me to call ahead next week. Two told me to use the drive-thru since they already know their lobbies will be closed next week. I need my dump bank to keep the lobby open though in order to keep operations running. They are still limiting the number of people in the lobby. I can live with standing out in the rain for a few minutes if it means access to the coin counter. I'm quite impressed with how much the tellers want to keep supporting me.

BREAKING NEWS: We have just been notified that we are moving to our next assignment as originally scheduled! Back to the early April departure...

Well, it happened...and without advanced notice...my dump bank closed its lobby and refused access to the coin counter. Obviously the writing was on the wall, but I had hoped my dump bank would have given their customers a day or two advanced notice like so many of my pickup banks had. Now, I'm holding 9+ boxes of dimes and moving within the next couple of weeks. I don't know if my next duty station will have any free coin counters. My next thought went to the tens of boxes I have lined up for next week. I told each one of these vault managers I would not leave them with a vault full of unwanted dimes when I set up each arrangement. I called my Tuesday bank that orders me six boxes. They informed me that they were closing their branch until further notice. Tuesday cleared! Wednesday bank that orders me four boxes called me and told me they would not be able to order boxes till further notice. Wednesday cleared! Thursday is down to two banks that want me to pick up at the drive thru. Same with Friday. I think I'll have to call up these branches and let them know this will be the last week. It's looking like I'll have to move with 13+ boxes. I don't think the bank lobbies will be reopened in the next couple weeks, but hey, you never know.

I DID find a great coin though. I looked at the mint mark and saw that big beautiful 'S'. I turned it over to my wife and played the guessing game. I never made it to the '54S, but man, the 1950S is a tough coin to find. Would have been great to knock out a Most Wanted FDR here at the end.

What a roller coaster. Going from a possible extension of your time here, then back to the same deadline, and now your searching ability is shortened due to this mess.

Maybe there'll be some magic in those last boxes.

Well, several pickup banks have given me the green light to continue the hunt through the Great Corona Pandemic of 2020, but it's really a moot point with no dump bank. We're now on the hook for 3 boxes next week before we can officially shut down operations for a while. We'll see how we finish out.

Tell me about it! I got asked today if I wanted to go back to the 11 May departure date or if I wanted to press forward. At this point, we're just going to press...I don't wanna jack my family around any more with all the back and forth moving dates.

So, done with the dawn treatment on the '63 Silver Proof. Shined up alright, but it's definitely seen some time in circulation! Didn't use any brushes or anything...just an RX bottle, some dawn, and some hot water for a few days - just like Dozer said.
