Two boxes of halves today with a little surprise. They were not Brinks halves, they were Loomis this time which means, I should be through to the next pallet shortly. Both were skunks though.
New skunk streak is at 17 boxes and counting.

Snow didnt close the banks, didnt think it would but you never know. Snow didnt stop the skunks either, hopefully next week I get to finally break into that new pallet of Brinks Halves.
Took a chance on two Gem Data Certificates, paid $6 ea for them, going to try to flip them for $20 ea to the pawn shop and trade for some gold.
Stood around from 5:15pm to almost midnight to get a lot that no one but I saw. A plastic tube with 'junk jewelry parts' which turned out to have
Three 10k rings, 8.1 grams or .1086 oz of gold
Two 14k rings, 2.8 grams or 0.0525 oz of gold
Two gold caps, should be 18k, 2.1 grams or 0.0506 oz of gold
One ring that might be 10k, need it tested and some bracelet/necklace parts unmarked, need to be tested.
Got them all for a low, low bid of $10.
One auction to hit today and on on Sunday. Sunday is supposed to have lots of beer flats with jewelry.
As I find stuff and get it tested and ID'd I will be adding it to the list. Its possible the two gold caps will get down graded if they dont test out as 18k.

My skunk streak continued...
Went to my first pick up bank and to my surprise I got 3 more Loomis boxes. Not to my surprise was what was contained inside.
Box 1: Skunked
Box 2: Skunked
Box 3: Skunked
Skunk streak record now 25 boxes in a row.
Went to pick up bank #2, got 3 more boxes... finally the last of the Loomis, just 1 box and 2 Brinks boxes.
Went to Friday auction and there was nothing there worth my time to stay Watched game 6 between the LA Kings and St Louis Blues in NHL Playoff hockey and so glad to say the Kings won and are into round 2 vs the San Jose Sharks.
Went to auction today, the items there should have been sent straight to the dump.
So.. both Brinks boxes were black ink rolls and both produced, hope the trend continues with next weeks 7 boxes.
I am also in the process of dumping my pre 82 pennies back into the wild after sorting out any BU's for local auction. I could make more money at auction with those fund than by selling them at copper value or sitting on them.

I think I am into the new pallet and they are just dishing out the loomis boxes they acquired to fill the void while the new pallet arrived, I hope they are done, too many skunks this month. Its the worst month for CRH I have had to date, at least there are 2 more weeks to go to possibly change the outcome.
I purchased 2 rosies yesterday off a friend, he got them in change. I gave him over melt since he is financially insecure.
Auction last night was worthless.
Going to a flea market type setup to maybe find something interesting. Another box lot auction for that estate is on Thursday, will be hitting that.
On to this months pathetic totals. Funny what a difference a year makes in CRH.

Man is that some rough luck. I think I'd be taking a break for a while. I di that everyfew months. I probably miss a bunch, but it does wonders for my sanity. then again, how much can i miss doing one box a week. haha. good luck. i hope it picks up for you.
Taking a break does only one thing, remove the chance of finding something good. Taking a 2 week break would put me 13 boxes behind or extend my bad break by 2 weeks when I continue. It will turn around, it cant get much worse than this, it truly can only get better from here on out.
Box lot auction did good, managed to grab some good stuff which will be listed below. Vlad the Ukranian found a Gorham sterling Paul Revere reproduction bowl and got that for $10, about $160 worth of silver in it at todays prices.
My CRH'ing has taken a turn for the better. Not sure how the month will end.
1 Roll of CWR Dimes: Skunked
3 Rolls of CWR Quarters: Skunked
Total of 17 - 40% Halves found today, not a bad day by any standard, a great day by this years averages when it comes to boxes.
Did find a 1935 Brittish Penny as well.
I did well at the auction, won a number of things for a wopping $65, $55 for everything but the knife and fork, I won the Knife and Fork in a box lot for $10. plenty of silver and nickle plate in that to scrap.
I am going to try to sell the sterling shakers, the picture frame and the small vase with a glass base. Those are not listed because those wont yet be sent to the scrap pile. I hope to make extra auction funds with them. Monday is an auction with a sterling flatware set and 6 piece tea set. Hoping to score big with everyone out getting their M day on.
Sooooo close to 400 oz total silver.
Now onto a picture of yesterdays auction scores.
