yo everyone. Just curious on how you all have been with quarters? I was hitting them pretty well earlier in the year, found several. Now, every single box has been 100% skunk.

Some of the ones I found earlier this year are in this thread.

My advice, they vary between region, and they are WORTH a try, before you jump to conclusions.

In my limited experience I have bought 3 boxes of quarters and have found 3 silver quarters. 1 of the 3 boxes was a skunk, but 1 had 2 silver quarters in it. I'm going to keep trying them.

They are at least easier to get than halves as far as boxes go- don't normally have to order them- I've done 3 or 4 boxes all skunks- ill do them occasionally when I don't have halves coming in

I may have to give quarters a shot. I've only done about $500 in CWRs. Like the previous post said at least they are easier to acquire.

I have only found 2 silver quarters, both of them at work. I've searched about $4,000 in quarters through the bank, nada.

Quarters have been bad for me, but I'll do them if I have nothing else to do. I've probably done about eight boxes, all skunks. I also did two bags of $1000 each, and I found one silver quarter. I've had better luck with one of my tellers. He's given me three in about a month, and he's saving everything else he finds for me.

I've done like $20K total and found a whopping 6 silver quarters (4 out of the 6 were '64s, and the other 2 were in the 1950s)

Well considering I live in Phoenix, quarters produce better than halves for me. I've found around 4 quarters with maybe $1200 searched. Still have yet to find a silver half. The 4 quarters that I have found have all been in CWRs.

I've searched $0 in quarters and found one 1961. Popped out of a coin machine when I started dumping halves. Ended up being ~3 dollars short.

Been thinking about picking up boxes of quarters to make up for when any of my half boxes get "forgotten" since I'm at the bank anyway.

How are machines with quarter miscounts?

never had a single miscount in either a rail counter or a cummins. I did however, jam the rail counter once with $200 quarter/nickel mix

I have looked through about 4 boxes to no avail. I only have one quarter which came to me by way of teller tray.

WOW! I just started doing this about 3 months ago and have "probably" run through $350-$400.

I have an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME collection of '65's (:laughing7:) and NOTHING earlier. Thanks for putting things into perspective for me 8-)
