Pity Poor Las Vegas. Up here in Northeastern Nevada, we had a high of 15 on Saturday with a -24 for a low. Sunday had a high of 17 with a low of -6. The -24 is getting into the serious freeze stage.
My wife & I hit a local casino today for a couple of hours. She plays the quarter poker machines, while I hit the nickel slots. As long as I gamble every once in a while, the casino folks don't mind if I look through the nickels. My totals:
1939: 1 XF
1940-D: 1 XF
1941: 2 XF
1943-P: 1 XF
1950's: 4 XF condition. (All nice, ledgible coins)
This is for $40.00 plus whatever credits I accumulated.
2005 Buffalo's: 10. In my opinion, the 2005 Buffalo Nickel is quite elusive. I know the U.S. Mint made a ton of them, but the ratio of what I find is similar to the 40's & 50's nickels. Everyone & their mother must be hoarding them.

I bought a $100 box of nickels from B of A on Friday & found a total of twenty-six 40's & 50's nickels with 0 War nickels. The 40's & fifties were evenly split. I did find a 1951-S. The casino's seem to have a good find ratio for finding older nickels or it could have been a bit of luck. The $100 box only produced a total of fifteen 2005 Buffalo nickels.

I am planning to buy a $250 box of dimes this week. I enjoy the easy hunt for silver. It is extremely easy for me to look at the edges & locate the silver. I bought a Dime box earlier & only found a 1963. I guess I could have been completely skunked. The thing I liked was it only took around 45 minutes to check the entire box.
F.Y.I.: It took me around 3 hours to sell a 2006 box of nickels on Ebay. I listed the 2006 nickels with a B.I.N. for $132.50 including flat rate shipping. A nice guy from Michigan snapped em up. So, I made $15.00 plus for 10 minutes of work. I am not trying to brag, I just wanted to point out, there are 2006 nickel collectors out there. Good Luck with your Coin Hunting.
