congratulations! She is in fantastic condition. Was that the only notable find in the bag? You might want to check on the other bags as Jr. tapped into daddy's collection.

It's in great shape, don't get me wrong, but it's not an uncurculated coin; therefore, it's likely real, especially since it is not a key date either.
You try sticking a magnet to it yet, this is in superb shape to say the least. good going dawglslice

This is the second seated I've found in a bag. The other was 1870's.

Thanks for the defense BuffaloBoy!

Even if it was a fake, it would still be a fun coin to post to look at and analyze.

That's a great find.. That one will definitely be hard to top..

Indeed. Most seated dimes are slicks with faint details that are found in the wild. TxTim's is one of the best seated dimes I've seen posted here. Now, RileyBoy still reigns as finding the finest seated find. But this is TxTim's thread, - very nice find. It is in XF condition and valued at $65.

Great score, man! Glad one of you vets found something cool so we could hear from all the "Founding Fathers" on the site again. Those are the kind of coins we all hope to find one day.

I was just saying that if it were fake, chances are it would be in greater shape or be a key date, I don't want to hijack the OP's thread.

They sometimes make worn fakes of coins, since they can still profit, and it is harder to tell/less likely that someone will carefully analyze.
