So went to the bank wit my small bankroll of 200
Left with a box of nickels 50 in bank wrapped halfs , 50 in dimes ( teller only lets me purchase 50 because she holds onto for a business ??? ) she said she would order for me but would only sell me 50 at present time ( skunked on halfs and dimes but came upon a v nickel halfway into my box 1906 ) :)

She's a beauty!

As far as holding on for businesses I totally understand that as my bank does the same thing. All you have to do is ask if they will order you boxes of coin. That does the trick for me.

great find, nice detail on the back, the front is kinda flat, wonder why that is?

I'm so excited to get one of these. I've been visualizing it lately more and more. One of these boxes...

Most of my pickup Bank know I'm looking for older coins and the Tellers will tell me if their boxes are new coins, they look for me now. If they are the boxes with holes in them, you can look at the coins inside to make sure that they are not all new. I look to make sure that at least one coin is older, if they all look new I open them and then don't take them if they are 2012 or 2013's. The nickels are easy to tell but the dimes will look new a lot of times, most of my regular Tellers don't mind if I open the boxes to look to make sure.

Nice Liberty nickel, always fun to find a coin that is over a hundred years old. The last one I pulled was an 1899, I like getting anything that starts with 18. Good luck and HH

Nice V nick. It's always cool when you spread them out and spot an oldie. HH

I've usually seen the back in better shape than the front, but not always.

I agree. Seems like the reverse holds detail better on the V nickels. Almost all the ones I've seen are like that.
Congrats on the nickel. I found one CRHing on my first or second box of nickels searched. It was a 1902 and dark black.
