I have no idea besides some wide rims on SBA's.

I dont know if theres anything to look for in those gold dollars, but I hate when I ask for large dollars, and the tellers start to hand me that crap! haha...

I think there are error president dollars that are missing the letters on the rim of the coin, but those are all I can think of besides SBA wide rims.

dawg Always buy all the machine rolls of new dolla coins. I once scored a silver 64 quarter in one because it weighs more like a gold dollar coin.

The 1979 wide rim SBAs, and any errors. Look for the Cheerios dollars too, but I don't think anyone on here has found a US coin with a mintage of 5,500. It never hurts to try though.

I'm pretty sure it's all about the errors on the edges of the coin. look for double printing, etc. google them and I'm sure you can quickly pull up a full list of errors/rarities
