Evening all. Found these 2 silver coins today in penny's reject slot after work today. A 1966 Bahamas 50 cent piece and a 1943 Australian 3 pence. I know both are silver, the Australian coin has a D mintmark. I think both are a 1st for me.
Also, my wife found what i think is a copy of a 1884 dollar in the supermarket parking lot. The reason i think it's a copy is that it does not have the same ring to it as compared to a peace dollar i compared it to. It is gold plated and severly dinged up. I think it was in a bezel as i can see 4 spots equally spaced along the rim where it was mounted.
Good luck everyone. MM2 out.

I agree. A marlin on a coin is always going to be a win in my book...especially when it's an 80%er! That war coin from Australia is cool, too. These two coins would be great to add to most any CRHing collection. Thanks for sharing MM2.

P.S. Sorry 'bout your fake Morgan...maybe next time.

Yeah, how the heck do you find those in a penny tray? Are you meaning the trays some counters have "take a penny, leave a penny"? I have been amazed by some of my finds recently, but a large coin in a penny reject is huge (no pun intended)!

Nice finds,

A "Penny Arcade" is a coin counter.

Interesting... never seen those down here in TN. In fact I don't think any of the 100+ banks I've been in has a single one had a customer coin machine.

I've seen lots of coinstar and other machines in grocery stores etc. just none in the banks.
