Hey guys! Got this 1979 gold plated half dollar out of a box today. Was wondering what the 1960 and 1980 numbers meant stamped above the in god we trust. Any tips are appreciated HH

Just an opinion...instead of a gold watch, a golden coin was presented indicating the person served from 1960 to 1980...

Or maybe the 20th birthday...

Maybe you can get someone on Ebay to give you more for it, apparently you can sell just about anything on there for a profit.

For some reason, most of the gold plated halfs I find have stickers stuck to them. Weird.

I have about a half roll of those. When I get a full roll I'm going release them back into the wild. :cat:

Won gold, silver and bronze in some of my boxes a bit back. They all got released back into the wild.

Maybe about 75 cents to a dollar at most, but it can't be extracted to have any value.
