Hi all. Well had a pretty good week with 20 silvers. Three boxes of halves yielded one 67. The rest were from cwr or teller trays. The 64 and 61 were both handed to me by my favorite pretty blond teller. She was sorry but she only had three. The third was clad. Did two boxes of nickels and got a war nick from each, plus the buff. I searched 2 dime boxes and $500 on cwr and came away with ten silvers. Week by week, stacken em up. Hope the coming week is good also. HH and good luck to all.

Good finds. I mean the coins...............8-) Must really suck to have pretty girls handing you silver, saying "Sorry it's not more". You need to take her something.

Ya I know someone on here that brings tons of donuts to his tellers and in return gets all the good boxes in our area hahaha. Always good to treat the tellers well.

Well, since I'm not hunting Saturday,I can go ahead and post this weeks finds. Out of three half dollar boxes, 180 in cwr and a bunch of teller tray coins, I didn't find any silver halfs. Out of three boxes of nickels I found 6 war nicks, 3 buffs and a strange special forces, 5 cent mess token. Dimes, I searched 3 boxes plus $1000 in cwr and got 6 Rosie's and a merc. Disappointed I didn't get any halves but at least the dimes and nicks were good. HH to all

Another reason to search multiple denominations...if one dries up, you're still findin' stuff in the others

Yup. That's my approach. I'd like to just stack 90% halves but I can go weeks or longer to find them. Dimes and war nicks I find every week.

Another week of crh comes to an end and its time to post results. For the week ending Sunday, sept8, 2013 I ended up with 14 silver coins. War nickels were pretty good with 7 out of 3 boxes searched. Also found one no date buff. Dimes I found two Rosie's and a merc, out of two boxes and $100 in cwr. The cwr were skunk rolls. Half dollars were the highlight of this weeks hunt, with my first ever walker. It was especially cool because it was from my first pick up from a new source. I had recently opened two new accounts, one for supply, one for dump. I had asked the supply bank to order me a box of halves. Wanted to ease into it with them. They called, I picked up. They told me that they were forced to order two boxes and so if I wanted another, they would have it available. No problem, I'll take both. They liked that. Then boss teller asks, if I don't mind answering, what am I going to do with the halves when I am done? I say, make them disappear. She will never see them again. This answer produces a broad friendly smile and I know this bank is going to be a winner. Anyway, first box skunk, second box walker. My three other boxes I picked up, produced one 68, one buffalo boy clad and one odd Arabian coin. $50 in cwr produced one 68 and $9 from the teller tray produced the Ben. All in all, it was a decent week. HH

Hey mercury1, that half dollar has been circulated since October, 2012, interesting it is still in "full color" and not scratched off. Was the edge a bright silver color or dull?
Congrats on a nice week and your first walker. Banks that don't want to order for me usually do once I assure them that they will not get the coins back, they love that, no bank likes to be a dump bank..
Good luck this week,
HH

BB, I'll check out the edge on your coin after work. Yes, no bank likes getting dumped on but I've got a few former pick up banks that should have thought of that before they cut me off from ordering. Haha. I just found out that Arab looking coin I found is actually an Indian, princely states, 1 rupee coin with a silver content slightly over 80% , so pretty happy with that. HH

Buff

The silver color is still there on the edge but pretty worn and dull. I wrote mercury1 and the month and year on it and I'm sending it back your way. Lol

Well it's the end of this weeks hunt and thanks to $90 of cwr halves from one of my favorite tellers, it's a great week with 45 silver coins of different types. I flipped $5045 in coin this week. $2905 was in halves with 5 boxes and the balance loose or rolled.
Boxes 1-4 were skunk
Box 5 had 5 40%
$90 cwr had 23 40%
3 different teller trays yielded 2 40% and one 64

Dimes I did 1675.
Boxes 1 and 2 skunk
Box 3 1963 Rosie
Box4 1943, 1946, 1961, 1964
$675 in cwr yielded 3 more Rosie's and one Canadian silver 1968

Nicks I did $300
Box 1 1943p(3), 1944p(2), 1937
Box 2 skunk
Box 3 1912

$65 in Ike's found nothing.
Also scored some good karma by being honest with tellers. One sold me one half. I gave her a buck and she gave me the half and two Susan B's. She thanked me. Another teller who is pretty, blonde and hands me silver regularly, including today, said she had $10.50 in loose halves. I paid her and she slid over two stacks that were obviously more than that. It was $15.50. I paid her the rest and she thanked me. One of the halves was a 67. This girl is one of my favorites and I hope she keeps her job there ( at TD ) for a long time. HH
