Silver Dollar Tuesday

stopped at 1 bank today and got 8 Ike Dollars:

6 clad Ikes

2 x '71S Ikes

Ive only found one other silver Ike back in Nov 2011. Its sure nice seeing silver dollar edges. Just wish they were something better than Ikes but Im not complaining. Ive now found 3 silver dollars so far this year. The other silver dollar was my first ASE ('88) I found earlier this year (my avatar).

Wow nice one!! I still have yet to find any silver ikes... I have found an ASE for 1$ but thats the only large silver I have bought from the bank, I did rescue 9 or 10 90%ers a while back before they got dumped, and found a peace dollar inside a coin machine once.

Yeah the edges are very silver looking but they are just 40% silver. Sorry to hear about you getting robbed.

Pretty sweet find. Is there any reason to keep the clad Ikes? I have about 15 that my wife collected when she worked at a bank. Don't know if I should keep them or cash them in.

Some people r able to sell the clad Ikes for a decent profit. Ive made a little money selling the clad ones b4 but not much. Right now Ive probably got at least 100 or so clad Ikes. I usually only make about a 10% or so profit when I sell them on CL so Ive never made that much myself.

Those are awesome, and tough to find! I've found 2 peace dollars but only 1 silver ike

sweet ike finds, I've picked about $1000 Ike's from banks over the last 2 years and 0 silver so far :-)
