Nice one!! I found my first ben proof about 6 weeks ago, and got a second(in way better shape than the first) a week or two after the first one, Hopefully the streak goes for you and you find another too!

I just dont understand how someone can throw that into a coin machine! lol

Easy. Nowadays, anything (coin) that is not familiar, must be foreign. There are those that throw foreign coins into the trash. For instance, my credit union throws away foreign coin rejects from the machine, into the garbage. I've mentioned to save them for me, no such luck.
