Didnt get anything I intended to get, glad these coins were there otherwise it would have been a bust. I lost a little money on Sunday, a few coins I purchased in the lot I missed the dates by 1 year so they were not silver like I expected. over all for the weekend I made a measily $39 in silver melt. I do have a 1857 flying eagle cent that came mixed in with the lot of coins that should go for $45 at auction. The Russian spoon should go for about $22 on Ebay. so over all I didnt do too bad but no where near to par that I am used to seeing when it comes to profits. I did good with the dental gold and that made my weekend.

Looking through the foreign coins and seperating out the Canadians and I found a 1925 Nickel worth about $88-$120 and a 1955 Penny worth $140-$240.

Once I have more time and more importantly space, I will be sorting out all the coins by country and start trying to find their values to sell later in the future.

I plan on reselling so I can reinvest into my retirement fund.

As of right now, my averages on Silver and Gold are as follows.

Silver: $2.31 profit on every $1 spent
Gold: $7.05 profit on every $1 spent

Any sales of foreign coins are basically free money as I have the costs of their purchased tied into the silver I purchased with them so its all profit for me which I can multiply 2-7 times.

Unfortunately I had to fix my car this week and I have spent about $600 of my auction money on the car. Not sure what my plans are for this weekend which has lowered my available funds by quite a bit. So many good auction but I dont want to deplete my funds.

10k Pink stone ring - ($35.00/0.0349)
10k Mothersday ring - ($10.00/0.0362)

Purchased this at auction as well but afterwords. Friend and two ladies were bidding on it, one of the ladies won it for $120, she was going to sell it to the other lady, the other lady found out the diamonds were not real, didnt want it. So she was going to take it to the local coin shop to scrap it. I told her that she would only get about $32 for it and I would give her $50. She sold me the ring. Easy $11 profit. Its missing 2 stones and its destination is the scrapper with a lot of my scrap to reinvest it into more shiny metals.

I purchased a old 1901 pocket watch case, 14k gold for $800 with some of the $1899.55 from the gold sale. It comes out to 43.8 grams or 0.8210 worth of gold, worth $1046.04 at the time of this listing. I sold another $50 worth of movements to the guy I bought the watch case off of in trade for the original movement and crystal from the 1901 Waltham pocket watch. That should bring its total value closer to the $1300-$1400 range. I will get pictures of the whole watch once its together if anyone is interested.

Its has been a hectic weekend and week so far and will likely be this way for the foreseeable future.

Not this Friday but the following one I have a local auction that will be hosting a few items of mine with a few things added by Vlad the Ukrainian. I think its a good variety of things that should get plenty of collectors out there to bid things up. Most of the things I am getting rid of I got for spot or as a part of bulk purchased from auctions and I have little to nothing invested in them.

1857 Flying Eagle Cent
Indian Head cents 1879 and up
Wheat Cents 1909 and up
1851 Half Dime
Mercury dimes 1919 and up
Barber dimes 1899 and 1902
3 cent nickels 1865 and 1866
V Nickels 1897 and up
Buffalo Nickels
Proof Nickels
Standing Liberty Quarters
1964 Kennedy Halves
Morgan Dollars
Large lot of Kennedy Proof Halves
Ike Dollars
Susan B Dollars
BU Presidential Dollars
Proof and Mint sets
Nickel sets
Rolls of Wheat Cents and pre 60 Nickels
Error coins
Massachuset Token
Misc Tokens
Spanish Reale
California Gold 1855,1857,1858
Silver Certificates and $2 bills
Foreign Currency
Gold and Silver Jewlery
Costume Jewlery
First day issue 24k stamps

I will be patiently awaiting the results of that( if you post them) auction, that is a nice variety of items. A while back you posted a Postal Commemorative coin you had got with a lot of things, do you still have it? My wife is a postal worker and Itry and collect postal things when I can, I have never seen one if those before. Pm me if you are interested in parting with it. Thanks, HH,Maverick.

I will post the result of the sale, it should be interesting, things have been going for stupid high prices as of late when it comes to coins.

As for the postal coin, not sure if I would be interested in parting with it just yet but I will supply you with a couple pictures, been wanting to try out my Note 3's 14mp camera.

Yup, that's the one I remember, very cool. Just give me first shot at it if you decide to ever sell it. The pics are nice, I'd say the camera works great! HH, Maverick.

This was a tough one to manage with so much going on between buying and selling and keeping numbers correct. Hope I got it right.

Found a 1968 Canadian Dime under my chair, must have dropped it searching coins and not noticed it.

Purchased a large sum of silver from Provident this morning, should have done it last night when it was 50 cents cheaper an ounce. Still, sold 146.55 oz for $3800 and purchased 150 oz for $3400 so cant really complain, I came up quite a bit and have some spare cash to auction with and do even better. I have 3 auctions for the weekend, 1 local on Friday, 1 three and a half hours away on Saturday, 1 4 hours away from that on Saturday evening, 3 minute drive home, sleep and another at 11 am locally on Sunday. Another busy weekend for me and hopefully its profitable.

How much do you expect to get from your susan b anthony and ike dollar sales. I know maybe like $.20 profit for each ike but are the sba like rarer dates or just ones that you could get out of a teller tray?

The Susan B Set should net me $10 or so, I paid $6 for it so I will make a couple bucks. The Ikes can go for upwards of $3-$4 ea at times and the Bicentennials could go for $5+.

I have a guy I sell IKE's and he gives me 15 cents over face each.

Added to the list is a 1867 shield nickel with rays, 1876 cc seated dime and 1864 two cent piece and a mostly filled ( no key dates ) cent book.

Thats crazy. Ive got about 20 bicentennials and 30 other ikes to sell. I dont know who would pay that much where i live
? I think ill try auctioning them or if that doesnt work ebay.

Well, got info saying that possibly the house issue was resolved and I might be able to purchase it. That will mean liquidating some of my collection but that is fine. Working on pulling stones from rings as we speak to find out how much gold I have to scrap. Hoping the price continues to go up because I am running out of things I am willing to scrap. I have several rings possibly sold this weekend which will help.

On a sad note, my brother in law passed away today. Still not exactly sure how but with my mom and sister saying they will be back late and unable to find anything else on the news, I believe this story might be his.

Authorities recovering body of man trapped in trench collapse - KansasCity.com

Its also possible its not.

Not sure how things will be playing out, I might need to liquidate more of my holdings to help them out for the foreseeable future.

I will still be hitting the auction tomorrow and be giving an update.

EDIT: Its confirmed, the story is his.

RIP Brian.

Auction didnt go too bad, went late into the night. Somethings did phenominal and I am not sure why, others floundered and I cant explain why.

Merc dimes sold for $2.78 ea. Wish I would have brought more.

V nickels, some from the 1800's only sold for 40 cents each.

Buffalo nickels, even in flips sold for only a quarter each, I was expecting the nickels to sell for at least $1 each.

Both my 3 cent nickels, which I paid $22 for sold for $42.50 ea so I am pleased.

1867 Sheild nickel sold for $10.

1921 morgans sold for $33 ea

One small lot of 9 clad proof Kennedy Halves sold for $1.50 ea

Another larger lot of clad proof Kennedys sold for $2 ea, there were 36 of them.

IKE dollars sold for $5 ea, I had only 7 of them out.

My half dime only sold for $40

The high end coin book full of wheat cents, with the 1909 and 1909 vdb, 1916 etc... missing just the key dates, it sold for $5. I should have got $40 out of it, I paid $10. Not sure why it didnt sell, considering a single 1911 penny sold for $3

45 dateless buffalo nickels sold for 30 cents each, no rhyme or reason.

Indian head pennies sold for $1 ea, there were 34 of them

Gold plated Kennedy Halves sold for $5 ea, there were 17 of them.

Some Presidential coins I picked up from the same auction about a year ago for $1 ea sold for $6 ea, there were 9 of them

$2 bills sold for $2.50 so I made a dime off ea, there were 9 of them.

After all is said and done, I should see about $700 after their 20% is taken from the nights haul. Easy money. I think I had about $70-$100 into everything at the auction so I am fine with that.

Congrats on your auction results. It's amazing what some things will go for and what some things won't go for. I'm glad I haven't thrown back my gold plated ken halves, lol.
