I'm wondering what unlikely stuff is still out there in the wild. I haven't found anything very impressive as I don't do high volume. The best thing I have found was a half dollar that was struck partially out of the collar, making it half-broadstruck. It has a value of about $20. Still quite nice and interesting.

I'm interested in what you have found.

My personal best coins: Type II 1972 Ike, Wisconsin low leaf error quarter, AU walking liberty (date in the forties), wheat cent with date as "195", 1909 wheat cent (neither S or vdb), 1907 IH (my only one, ever). That's really about it

Early this year I found in a box of cents, a 1909-P in Ext Fine condition. Nearly flawless. Definitely going in my folder, and not the grandkids.

I recently found a 1927 English penny in a roll of halves. Not exactly a banner find, but I was pretty shocked at the time!

I found an 1854 large cent in a bag of half dollars. Also found a 1952 1 gulden coin (72% silver) from the netherlands in a bag of halves as well.

I've only been CRH for about 6 months and don't do a lot of volume. So I would have to say my coolest find was an 1899 IH cent. Found it in the first box I ever searched and I've been hooked ever since.

1972 Doubled Die Lincoln cent - found it in '87. I have since upgraded to this little gem...

I don't have much of numismatic value in my crh collection but some items I've found from crh include: 1878 Indian head cent in f, AU 1939D nickel, AU 1950D nickel and a no-date T1 "S" mint buffalo nickel (1913-S T1 Buffalo without a date)
