Started off with casino vault box #8...which was identical to #7. In other words SKUNK! Same date stamp (8/11/06) and same putrid results, mostly 2001's. >:(

But things brightened when I met the casino cage manager. Found out the casino has been collating all their coin from various booths around the hotel. Among the stuff they've been finding is bags of halves that have been sitting on shelves for years!! I about started drooling on the spot! Anyway, he had saved forty 40%ers (66x7, 67x25, 68x8) for me from one bag and says he'll have more when they go thru the other bags! Woo hoo!! I asked if I could buy a bag or two and he said the bags all have different amounts so I'll have to wait until they count everything. But he assures me there's probably more.

Then I found out the casino has the new Washington $1 rolls so I got one. Twelve edge lettering "right-side-up", thirteen "lettering upside-down." Interesting coins.

Decided to try $40 in nickels too and got the following -

1940
1941
1947D (2)
1954D
1958D
1959D (2)

Vault box #9 won't be until Monday at the earliest. Geez, the last three have been headaches!

HH, all!
