Today was the day I finally had the nerves to go to a bank to ask for some half dollar coins, the lady just hands me $9.50 1964 silver halfs, (1) 1965, and (1) 1953. So... ya, i'm hooked.

Wow, seems like whenever someone new starts they get a giant score! I need to quit and start up again in a month lol. My first 2 boxes had over 40 coins a piece. 500 boxes later... nothing like that again lol. Good luck! Welcome to your new addiction.

haha. yes, beginners luck. Friendly reminder, since it's the holidays there are plenty of grandmas and grandpas trading in all there silver coins for cash. My bank clerk told me to call everyday untill the 23rd, becasue she knows for a fact that there will be more coins coming.

Yes, very sweet Ol' lady. She even told me that; besides me, there is only one other elderly man in his 80's that crh at this particular bank. Anyways thanks again and I will keep everyone posted when it comes to my future big finds.
