Ok, well, Buff was the:hello2::hello2: winner!:notworthy::notworthy: it was 9th from the left, I didn't see it when I opened the roll, when I dumped it out in my hand I heard that infamous CLINK and riffled them in my hand 1 more time and stopped when I heard it again, this is what it was, a 1965, just goes to show the edge searchers that they can get by you, and I consider myself pretty good at just spotting Silver in a roll by now but just goes to show you that it can happen if you don't sound check, it could get away from you! Thanks to all that played and let me give credit to CRHStreetwalker for starting this game ( as far as I know), everyone have a good night! HH, Maverick.

I enjoy your little games, mine wasn't a guess either, I thought pretty long and hard and something about the "pinkish" color and ratio of copper to nickel on the edge seemed to be different. I might have missed that silver personally also, but my ears are trained to hear silver. I can't tell you how many countless times I've missed a silver dime and caught it sound checking after I glanced over the roll. out of 1000 boxes maybe I missed 25 and picked them up that way. of course there is no way of telling how many I might have missed. LOL
and of course, no silver half dollar is getting by me :P
Have a good one!

Quick question. The silver painted or plated one that was fourth from the right. Did it also have a black stripe across the face?

Hey MM2. I am sorry, I don't remember looking at the face of of it, I usually just riffle them in my hand and real qwik to listen for the clink and and then dump them, I only look if something catches my eye when I'm dropping them from 1 hand to the other ( like a painted coin or a foreign half). If I get another one like that, I will look at the face for the black strip and let you. Merry Christmas! HH, Maverick.
