dime find, what kind of error is this?

I just started getting back into crhing a few days ago and just found this dime tonight:


its like a thin piece of metal fell onto the dime when it got stamped, some of the leaves are even stamped on it. also on the front it looks like a "ring" is visible under liberty.

What would this be called? any value? either way i think its pretty neat.

Surely, the OP can co what they want with the proceeds, but it seems that without the help of the TNet community, they had no idea what they had found. I would think supporting the TNet site by becoming a Charter Member would be the right thing to do, and they can continue to promote their eBay auctions in the future.
