So I pick up from 4 or 5 BofA's every week, and dump and Wells- for the most part. Today I went into well, just like I do every week, and I walk up to the new teller and explain to him how to do the deposit. Half way through the deposit, he says, "you and that other kid picked up thousands of halfs from us up from BofA" and I thought, Sh**. Cuz then he started mouthin off to the other teller about it. Luckily I stepped in and shut him up. When we went back into the vault to unload the coins, I politely asked him to keep it a secret, etc. anyone else every have a teller switch banks on you? It sucks! Haha

I've dumped at branches where someone from another pickup bank was filling in - very awkward! I just smile and say, "you caught me!" (Now give me my damn money, lol.)

Last week I had a new teller that was floating was at the 2 other banks I pick up from, when I saw her at the first bank( she was there from my local branch filling in) I said shhhh, don't tell my secret lol, then, towards the end if the week she was at another one I pick up from that is in another town, I then just explained to her that I ordered from these other ones so as not to over burden the other branches and again shhhhhhh lol. HH , Maverick.

I hate this. One of my tellers is being transferred around to a few other local branches to help them out because she is a specialist in some kind of managing, I was told she went to the bank a few towns over for a while. The tricky part is that this town has 2 branches of the bank, one I order from and the other that won't order for me. I just hope she's at the one I don't go to. It is quite awkward seeing a teller you've dealt with for years at a completely different bank working two jobs... I don't know how, but they do it.

Tell him that you would appreciate if he kept your personal banking information/habits private or you will be forced to discuss your invasion of privacy with the companies higher ups.

Tell him you're the customer and if he wants to keep his job he should shut his mouth. Omega I'm not sure how much money you have, but my advice to you is to go in a nice suit. I'm talking Brooks Brothers and above in terms of quality, get something that fits. I go in, and confront them look important. They messed with me at PNC before, told me I couldn't order them. Then I mentioned the head tellers of several banks to that banks head teller. I said, do you know X1? No X2? Yes, I think. X3? Yes, I know her. Then I tell her that X1, X2, X3 all work for PNC and order halves for me, and I spoke to them already and they told me any PNC branch can order halves. I can now order halves from that branch.

Get to know head tellers names Omega, Read name tags. Pretend to know them. Look for the important people at this specific branch. Tell the teller who is caus'n you trouble, that you'll get (important looking person's name) to straighten them.

Be nice to them, yes sir, mam, make them love you at the branch. That way when an outsider comes in like this guy, and he confronts you they'll fire him naturally. dis is my advice homie.

Some of the replies here are a bit off from what you should do in reality. As an employee of the financial, he is allowed to discuss anything business related, including your transactions, with other staff and management. I would do just as you have done, respectfully request he keep it secret but do not make threats and try to intimidate with your "connections ". This will likely draw more attention to you after the fact considering a negative experience a teller has with you is more likely to be dwelled upon.

In most instances, the staff will think about you two times...when you place an order and when you pick up... Don't draw any unnecessary attention to yourself. I always give helpful hints to obvious CRH of what to do better when it comes to dealing with my financial...likewise, I make sure to cut off jerks who follow some of the practices listed above.

As a crh consumer we are a unique member of our financials overall membership base and often times it's easier and more likely for a financial to cut ties with a problem member (1 of tens or hundreds of thousands ) than an employee who is likely an integral part of a small staff (5-20)... Just my input from experience as a credit union loan officer.

I also just redhead your post and noticed your primary concern with this gentleman is at your dump bank... I wouldn't sweat it too much honestly...protect the pickup banks, there are always other places to dump ...if anything g ever comes up regarding your eligibility to dump just ask "what has changed between today and last time?" I don't expect anything will come up but if it does, inquire about the possibility of bringing g in deposits precounted in bags to make it simpler - some places will allow it and it's better than being completely shut down .

This wouldn't be awkward for me. Most of my tellers from both pickup and dump banks know exactly what I'm doing and they know that I use multiple branches. They really don't care at least the ones that I have met dont

I know for a FACT that big banks have strict policies regarding sharing of account holder financial information - there is a huge gray area here between info that an employee may need to discuss with his/her supervisor in regards to that days transaction and gossiping about a customers personal banking habits. Most big banks will fire an employee over losing a customer, again this is FACT not opinion.

Keep in mind that I have never threatened a bank employee and I dont see many scenarios where I would.....thats really not cool. But it could happen

I ran into a teller 3 times in 2 days at 3 different branches. I brought her donuts and ask her not to tell. She said you must really like dimes. I said Yes I do. End of story.

I would like to see something showing that employees at large banks face termination due to losing a customer...do you have any examples of such things? When I started opening new accounts several years ago I was astonished how many people switched from Wells, BofA and some other large financials due too all sorts of "injustices" they perceived were done unto them. I would imagine there weren't too many employees being let go for these closed customers accounts.

If you have an employee who has reoccurring issues with customers that is a different story.

These policies you mentioned as fact, are they actual laws or just guidelines that can vary from place to place?

I say it's part of the hobby.... Smile, be polite, hand out treats, talk to them by first name..... Banks around me seem to have one thing in common and that is small talk and what I have found to work best is to talk about something unrelated to money, their day, weather or anything too generic. So I talk about my kid if it's a female and sports if it's a young man. They like me because they know they don't have to ask about those generic topics like every other customer they interact with that day. Or hear another lame joke like how would you like you $40 sir. "ahhh give me all $100s lol,". Or "can I get large bills" "got any money for me" I think we have all heard them while waiting in line and poor teller has to laugh a little out of respect but in reality they hate that person and can't wait to help out next person. Bottom line be original and polite and things will go your way

I think you are missing my point - like you all the "injustices" (ie they got an overdraft fee, had a check bounce, bank wouldnt waive the monthly account fee etc etc etc) bank employees don't lose their jobs for stuff like that, they are doing their jobs the way they are supposed to. However, if you are rude to a customer, and/or break bank policy (discuss a customers private info), many of the big banks will not put up with it - no warnings issued! My wife worked for the Bank of Satan for a few years, part of that time she was in the call-center. She said she saw several people escorted out of the building, in the middle of the day, for breaking company policy. There are no "laws" to speak of, just Company Policies that some of the larger banks practice.

I use one bank and all of its branches with in a 20 mile radius as my dump banks and they move tellers to all the different branches . so they know what im doing , so doesn't the pick up bank and all their tellers because they do the same thing ( moving tellers) . my pick up bank doesn't care as long as I don't bring them back . the dump bank hates me . I had one of the dump bank branches tellers ask me why I go through all these coins everyday "she was saying it in a way so I would understand that the bank hates me" well I told her " I'm just taking back the silver your bank and all the other banks plus the feds have been stealing from my family for generations " ! that put her in her place !! That same teller gave me a war nickel in change once . I told her hey you gave me silver nickel ! She said how can you tell ? I said do you know what Monticello is she said huh ?

I dump my halves at a large chain but I try to dump my dimes at a smaller chain. I stopped dumping at one of the smaller branches location because of a rude ass teller. As my luck would have it I go to the different location just to avoid her rude ass and there she is smile a devilish smile. I asked if she moved to that one and she said yes. Well, let's just say I haven't been back.

I see the tellers moved about quite often, especially at the rate they are shutting down the BOA branches.
