Picked up my order and for the first time ever they were short 1k of my 4k order. So I grabbed my 3k and left. Went home and started through.
Box 1: 1 40%, Box:2 Skunk, Box 3: SOLID MWR 6-90% kens and 14-40%, also 3 rolls had lone 40%s in them too, Box 4: Skunk, Box 5: 1 40%, Box 6: 1 40%. So my total was 20-40% and 6-90%. My question to you guys is HOW does this happen? One solid roll of silver in box of clad with only 3 other rolls containing 1 40% each. I maybe could understand it better if I hit 50-100 coins, but even then....

Wow that's pretty cool and a good question too. Im not sure if I ever remember seeing anyone posting finding a solid MWR of halves before. That does seem very strange and probably a very rare thing.....even in a loaded box.....but esp in boxes like u had. But congrats on a really amazing score!

H$H!

Unbelievable. I don't know how that can happen? Unless there's a box out there with 980 silvers in it and one roll of clad....

Sounds like some got hung up in the hopper and ( luckily ) fell at once when, when it got to the roller there must have been all together . I have had a box that had a roll that had 5 in it and 2 other rolls contained 1 each, that is what I assumed happened to mine. Wish mine would have been solid! Very cool find! HH, Maverick.

That is very strange. I can take a MWR roll and stuff it with all silver halves and hand crimp it back so it looks un tampered with, perhaps that was done at the sorting facility?

I feel like the people at the sorting facility "gave it to me." Christmas spirit???

I bought a partial box ($70 in Strings rolls) from a bank once and two of them were solid 40%.

Back in 2008 I got a box which had 652 silver in it. Some rolls were solid silver!

Man, that's more scarce than 2 silver 25 Cent pieces in 10k worth of Canadian Quarter rolls, congrats.

Nice find. Some time ago same thing happened to me with a box of dimes. Half way through the box, in one roll were 3-silver Rosie's together, and yet no other Rosie's in the other rolls. Three---- that was it, but yet together.
Your roll must have been from a small collection that was dumped together. A quirp of coin nature rolling I guess.

I once had a MWR of dimes with 7 roosies in it, all BU 1964D's, and the remainder of the box produced one 1936p mercury dime.

Silver will clot up like that sometimes. A solid roll from a box is impressive but I can see that happening. I had a box where 1 roll gave up 6 1964 and a franklin. The rest of the box had nothing. I have had boxes where around a dozen or so rolls would be loaded 5 to 10 In Each roll and the other rolls didn't even have 1. I guess silver is where it is

A buddy of mine had several solid MWRs in a box a LONG time ago. The box was truly loaded and a mega dream box though.
