December totals

I set myself a 2014 goal of 8 ounces of silver per month. Specifically , at least

• 2 oz from dimes
• 1 oz from nickels
• 5 oz from halves

I decided to use December as a trial run to see if this was realistic. I didn't keep track of how many boxes I searched (but I plan to in 2014). My final totals for December were:

• 1.81oz dimes (25)
• .56oz nickels (10)
• 4.11oz halves (18 40%, 4 90%)
• .12oz Canadian dimes (2)

For a grand total of 6.6oz.

Considering I was busy with the holidays, had several orders of halves not come in, and am juggling a full-time job, part-time freelance work, a volunteer campaign project, and five kids, I'm pretty happy with these totals.

I'm hoping to search at least 20 boxes each of nickels, dimes and halves per month in 2014.

Also, I got four new Roosies in December - that brings my total since May to 32 unique silver Roosies. Hoping to finish the set in 2014! I got a 50-D, a 55, a 48, and a 54-S this month!

Full dime set is a tall order, been working on my own for years, still missing 1950s, 1954s (congrats on yours!), and 1955s. Been through close to a 100k
