I found this in a box of nickels last night.



Two boxes searched and no war or buffalo nics. But at least I found something interesting to kick off the new year. Oldest nickel-sized thing I've found so far.

pretty cool coin. I remember finding a 1950 Pfennig in some nickels a couple of yrs ago. I don't know much about foreign coins but Im guessing yours might be silver huh? I've been silver and buffalo skunked with my last 2 nickels boxes too but I've found 4 silver and 3 buffalo (including a 1913) in the last $100 or so of mostly mwr's that I've bought $20-$40 at a time the past couple of weeks. Im not really superstitious but idk why it seems I've had better luck in the past couple of years finding keepers when I buy nickel rolls $20-$40 at a time (which r usually mwr's) than I have searching boxes.
