It is more than likely a box of 2014. The only thing I look for in brand new boxes is errors.

I figured it was. So I guess just exchange it and hope to get one with older coins mixed in. Should I try a different bank? Thanks for the info.

I don't bother looking through boxes of new coins. I take them to a different bank and say "I messed up. I was supposed to get nickels", and get 12+ rolls of nickels instead.

don't make it a chore for the poor tellers.

never exchange coin for more coin, unless you have a sneaky method like Spizz says :)

I always ask the teller if the boxes have the see-thru holes, "no new shinny ones please", before they bring it out of the vault & close the transaction. They have no problem with that.
