In todays box of half dollar coins I found kangaroos, scepters and silver!

This photo is shows all of the coins to demonstrate the size compared to Kennedy silver half dollars (which were also found in the box).

I found two of the coins as Enders:

In more detail, this is what I found:

These are one pennies from Australia. Remember, all of the following coins are the size of Kennedy half dollars!:

Both of the above coins had a reverse side that looked like this:

Here are some more Australian pennies and the all shared a similar opposite side:

In the same box of half dollar coins I found these one pennies from the UK:

Each of the above coins looked like this on the opposite side:

And there was this UK coin as well:

The box had these two 40%ers as well:

As you can see this was one sweet box. It was certainly one of the most interesting boxes I have ever explored.

:coffee2: That was 1 interesting box to say the least. I've found English pennies before but not that many at one time or any Australian pennies. The 1919 penny should have King George V on it. The other pennies up to 1951 should have King George VI on them & from 1952 forward will be Queen Elizabeth II on them. At least you were able to get some silver from the box also. BTY welcome to TNET & this crazy hobby/obsession/addiction.

Very cool. I'd say you hit the big Penny jackpot with that box - and found some silver too. Out of 111 half boxes so far this year I've only found two large Pennies so far myself (both British Pennies).

What I wouldn't give to have a box like that. My kids would have been thrilled to get a couple of kangaroos. I might need to check ebay now (-: Very cool finds. Thanks for posting the pics. That's one of the most varied boxes I've ever seen.
