70 roll skunk streak...LOL! ::)

I have searched 60+ boxes of dimes. All but 5 have been skunks.

Honestly, the first post I read regarding CRH-Dimes estimated that I should find 1 silver dime for every 20 rolls searched. Well, at roll 19 I found my first silver dime! And I'm thinking, "man, that guy was right on the button". But since then, I have had to search a lot more to find 1 more silver dime. Additionally, I've continued to read some of the other posts here and they talk about going SEVERAL BOXES without finding any silver and to be prepared for it. Well, I now think that is closer to the reality. So my current streak is probably more realistic. Discouraging, yes, but I accept reality for what it is and won't be so disappointed if I continue to not find any silver. HH everyone.

I'm lucky to find 1 silver for 50 rolls now. Welcome to the "new normal".

I usually find one silver every box. But I have gone 2 or 3 boxes of finding nothing. The best dime box I ever searched had 8 silvers in it. Man was that box fun to search.

I'm running about 1.3 silver per box for this year; last year was 1.6/box, however you never know what may pop up (see my recent post earlier this week about finding a 1876-cc Seated Liberty dime in a Brinks box), with only 1-Rosie in the box. That Seated alone made my day.

Almost to the end of my 2nd box cold streak and finally found a silver--1960D. Whew! what a relief. Thanks for the feedback everybody, it was all interesting. I think I'm going to go back to getting loose rolls from the bank teller as I seem to get more silver that way.

I bought 30 rolls from the teller and after searching the first 8 rolls, out pops a 1954 rosie. Nice! Nada for the rest of the batch.

ONe silver per $150 over the last six years, $125,000+ worth searched.

Wow, that's a lot of boxes! But you're consistently getting silver, so it makes it worth your time--and fun, too which is really what it's all about.

For 2014 my average is 1.4 silver dimes per $250 (50 rolls) searched

There aren't any key dates for nonsilver dimes.

Sure there are! 1982 no mint mark is worth a pretty penny, I mean cent.

That's true. Of course the 2009s are really running low in my area now.
