Tanner and I find about 50 Canadian pennies per box. (we live just a few miles north of Canada, near Detroit) We used to pitch them back into the wild, but we started saving them. I posted an ad on Craigs list to see if I could sell them. (Our local scrap yard would not touch them). I lady gave me a call and is supposed to pick them up on Monday, along with a roll of King Georges, 50 KG's for $5, and $10 of Canadian pennies for $20.

Thought you might be interested in another way to squeeze a bit more profit from CRH.

PS here is a link to the Craigs list ad.

It will be deleted when she picks them up on Monday,

PSS We do not save copper US cents as we do not date search, just check the back for wheats, Canadian pennies are easy to see and get pitched into another pile.

I don't know why the scrapyard wouldn't touch them, unless it's due to being so close to the border.

The pennies are King George VI (1937-1952). They were all pulled from circulation.
We find about one per box. I think our record was 4.
