Good eye!.. You are right on the cusp of finding silver! 1964 is the target date for keepers, keep on with keeping your eyes open, checking your change regularly will pay off eventually, its only a matter of time. Welcome to the site, and good luck!

Not to discourage you, but I've looked through $8,000 in quarters and haven't found anything.

1965 quarters have a doubled die obverse variety. I've found ONE in over $7,000 searched.

Incidentally, out of that $7,000+ in quarters searched, I have a total of 14 silver quarters. They are out there, but it's extremely debatable as to whether it's worth the time...

There's also a very cool 1970d DDO quarter that's rare and $$$.

Most people on this site have awful luck with quarters. I've had pretty good luck finding silver quarters in MWR's. I search boxes of quarters pretty infrequently. I am 5 or so silver quarters short of a full roll found from boxes. My long term average is one silver quarter out of every two or three boxes searched. The most I have ever found in one box is two silvers and that has happened twice. One of them actually had an ender.

It isn't worth the time IMO to search quarters

When you compare time and effort, I bet you could do better search pennies
Selling the 1940-1958 wheats for 3 cents, taking the profit and buying silver quarters at or near spot value.

I have searched two boxes of quarters total and found one silver. That is the extent of my experiences with them.
