Hey everyone!

I've been lurking for a few weeks here, and seeing the amount of silver that people have been pulling. I figured I would give it a go! So, I picked up a $1000 bag of Kennedys yesterday from my bank (I had to order it). As I was walking outta the bank, I thought to myself, well, if someone tries to steal this, at least they won't be able to run very quick with it!! ;) So, I got it home, and started searching. In the first hand full, I pulled a 68
out and thought this could be a good bag o' Kennedys. :P I ended up with the following:

5 - 64s
23 - 40%(I don't have all the dates listed, my bad!)
4 - Proofs - 1990, 91, 92, and a 2006
1 - 1987 P - made me grin! ;D
1 - Mexican Peso (in between quarter and half size)

I was very pleased with the finds. Yes, I'm officially addicted....commit me to the insane
asylum!! :D

Totals for 2007: Later, Remy!
28 - 40%
7 - 90%
2 - War nickles
15 - '61 & order Jeffs

Not extremely rare or anything. They just didn't make them for regular circulation. So,
since this was my first large bag of kennedys to search, I thought it was kinda cool to find one! ;D

Question for other -

What is up with the newer Kennedys (95's, 97's, 98, etc) that have a smooth edge. I seem to notice a lot of these that are worn down on the edges or something? Anyone else experience this and know what's up????

From what I can gather, you'll see these heavily worn coins from all clad years. I believe they spend a lot of time in casinos going through machines all day long and end up being heavily worn like that.

Nice job Remy.....glad you stopped the lurking & joined in. Congrats on the silver.

Your right about the weight of a $1000 bag...did it once. I like the boxes....when I pick up my two boxes....I can make two trips.....lol. I put my returns in two canvas bags also.

I try to cram as much in one bag as I can so I don't have make multiple trips. Of course I use the self serve coin counting machines for most of cashing in or else the tellers throw a fit as they can't lift them. The biggest canvas bag I have holds around 4 boxes worth.
