I have been coin roll hunting for almost exactly one year now.

I go through about 6 boxes of coins per week: 2 boxes of pennies, 2 boxes of nickels and 2 boxes of halves. Once in a while I will include a box of dimes as well.

This week I finally found my first foreign silver coin.

It is a 1937 Six Pence from the UK. I found it in a box of nickels, though it is smaller and thinner than a nickel. Also it is only 50% silver.

I also found a Canadian Half dollar from 1918 and it is 92.5% sterling silver. It is my most valuable coin I've found CRHing.

I believe one lone 1960 Canadian half is my only foreign silver found by CRH. A 1921 Australian Florin is my lone foreign silver found with the detector.

I've found several:

A 1964 silver Canadian quarter, 1 Dateless Canadian dime (It has George V on it, so it's from 1911-1936), a 1950 Canadian dime, a few 1968 Canadian dimes, (Philippines) 1944 Ten Centavos, and (Panama) 1947 1/10 coin.

I haven't found any half dollar sized ones.

:coffee2: Nice Find, I've found lots of silver coins over the years. My oldest silver coin in a half dollar roll was a 1862 silver Indian 1 Rupee with Queen Victoria on it. Oldest reject chute find was 2 1876 1 Mark German coins & my last reject chute silver coin find last week was a 1930 Greek 20 Drachmai.
