Got a call from one of my banks yesterday. They said a guy turned in a bunch of change, halves, quarters, dimes. They said they kept about 60 dollars worth of Franklin Halves and said they think were other silver ones in the bag if i wanted them. I bought the halves, quarters, dimes (900) dollars worth total. Here is a picture of my finds.

From left to right...... Roosevelt dimes, Quarters, 40% halves, 2 - 90% franklins, Mercury Dimes.

About 75%+ was silver, not the entire 900, but as you can tell that pile of silver is well worth the 900 dollar investmetn.

Approximately $675 face? $10k melt value? I'm speechless. This forum is going to savor this thread for weeks to come, and I can't wait for the next update.

Man! That's customer service to the 10th degree!!! Have you considered a couple dozen doughnuts or even a coldcut tray & some fixins? Small priced thank you for them, keeps you in the back of their minds for the next big one.

The dime score alone is bigger than my entire stash. Nice!

OK so update, no pictures to upload yet. I looked through the merc dimes (all 515 of them). I kept out 1 1941 (S, I think) that was in uncirculated condition, 1 1943S that appears the mintmark is double struck (not sure if valuable or worth saving), and 2 what i believe are 1942 over 41 errors (one with no mintmark, other with a D) in pretty good shape, maybe Extra Fine. Found a 1916 but it was an S booooo lol =) I will update once i have had to chance to go through the quarters and roosevelt dimes.

The overdates are valuable if that is what they are! Wow!

Yeah hoping they are. Will get some pics when i get time and not at work. I can basically see what looks like the top left of a 1 sticking up above and slightly left of the number 2. Looks very similar in both to what my Red Book shows.
