My 1 Year Half Dollar Totals

This is the first year I've done halves and I think it went very well. I had many great scores! Here are my totals. I only search in the first half of each month.

(243) 40% including (1) 1976 S
(51) 90% (4 Kennedy's, 42 Franklin's & 5 Walking Liberty's)
Also found 50 proofs or so, at least 500 NIFC's and a roll of gold plated/painted halves

Here's the totals by month.

March 2014 - Searched $2,189.50. Found (139) 40% (Dream Box on first 2 boxes)

April 2014 - Searched $2,000. Found (4) 40% & (1) Walking Liberty

May 2014 - Searched $3,000. Found (7) 40% & (2) Franklin's

June 2014 - Searched $1,000. Found (3) 40%

July 2014 - Searched $2,500. Found (18) 40% including a 1976 S

August 2014 - Searched $1,830. Found (6) 40%

September 2014 - Searched $2,000. Found (10) 40%

October 2014 - Searched $3,000. Found (4) 40% & (1) 90% Kennedy

November 2014 - Searched $4,000. Found (9) 40%

December 2014 - Searched $8,000. Found (5) 40% (Not such a great month)

January 2015 - Searched $5,000. Found (9) 40%, (39) Franklin's & (2) Walking Liberty's

February 2015 - Searched $12,000. Found (6) 40% & (1) 90% Kennedy (My worst month so far)

March 2015 - Searched $9,000. Found (24) 40%, (1) Franklin & (2) Walking Liberty's
(I have an order for 2 boxes on Thursday from a different bank so we'll see)

In total I searched $55,205 (Roughly 110 Boxes, All Loomis starting May 2014, Mixed Prior to that) I can't find any CWR in my area.

Top 3 Best Scores (From 1 box) -

1. (136) 40% - March 3, 2014 (First time trying halves and a day before my 18th birthday Best B-day gift ever!!!!)
2. (38) Franklin's (January 9, 2015)
3. (11) 40% including a 1976 S (July 3, 2014)

I'm on my 4th bank and it's awesome, they will order whenever I need it and up to 4 boxes a day. I've been using them since September 2014.

What do you guys think? I think I did great but I'm curious what you think, Thank you

Nice record keeping! I need to do a better job at that I barely keep track, I'm lazy. I'm 6 weeks or so in and I got about 100 40% and 20 90%! Have you found anything else other than halves? Dimes, eisenhowers, etc?

I search everything but quarters. I'm averaging a little over 1 silver dime per box and 1 War nickel per box. I average 10-15 Wheaties per box. That's a lot of halves for 6 weeks. How much halves have you searched to find that much?

Don't have exact numbers I kick myself for that but maybe 7k or more cwr.. I barely do boxes

Try using a Microsoft Works Spreadsheet to record your number, I use it and it's great. I keep tracking of all coins, where I buy them from, where I dump them at, everything. It's really handy, you should try using it if you can. You're numbers are great! I'd also do cwr but I can't seem to find any in my area, so I can only MWR rolls.

I'm saving all of my finds for as long as I can, I would think many other crh'ers are saving their's till silver prices rise.

Box #1 - 1985 S Proof

Box #2 - (3) 40%
1965, 1968 D & 1976 S Proof (My first silver proof)
Also found my first commemorative proof!! 1986 S Statue of Liberty along with a 1987 S

Did 2 boxes of dimes -

Box #1 - 1964 D & a few 2009's

Box #2 - 1944 Merc, 1947 & (9) 2009's

Throw back the NIFC , the proofs , and the roll of gold plated and you will make another 285$!!! Then you will have a great year.

xxmrright: I see that you are searching & keeping the 2009 Dimes. You probably have notice the big drop per box of findings of the 2009. (I think I have them all- just kidding). I too am saving all I find cuz I think somewhere in the future they may become semi-key coins, of which I'm saving for my 12-grandkids. Last year and beyond I was finding 10+ per box; now this year only 3-6 per box. They are drying up quickly. Do you agree?

Yeah I save them all, even if in the future they're not worth anything it's still money I was able to put away

I just starting searching dimes so I can't say 2009's are drying up for me but I seem to find 3-6 per box like you. I do think they are drying up and eventually it will be hard to find them.
