No you didn't. The wams are only on Philly issued cents. You probably have a cent from an over polished die. Sometimes this will cause a gap between the letters.

:lightbulb: Oops! enamel7 you're right. I had used a 98D for a comparison & got the 2 mixed up. It is a 98 Philly cent I have not a 98D.

I know it's been awhile, but do you have a pic?

:coffee2: My camera takes a blurry picture when I try to do a close up. I had enlarged both sides of the coin on a copy machine & had my wife e-mail it me. However the e-mail attachment won't open. If you have a fax number I could fax it to you.
