Beginner's Luck

Hello Guys/Gals,
Don't consider myself a CRH'er, I prefer taking my metal detector for a stroll along my area's beaches; but, this week I have the in-laws in town and the wife (correction..boss) has already warned me that its family time. In other words, I have to hang up the detector for a few days. Knowing that my trusty friend Johnny Walker can only soothe the situation to a certain degree, I needed something to stop the treasure hunting itch. Long story short, I stopped by the bank while out doing chores this weekend and picked up my first box of anything. Happened to be Nickels. I get in the car, turn the box over and this is what I see (circled in red)

Called it beginner's luck I guess. Haven't opened the box yet; but, I think I'm off to a good start.

Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting to all!

I would say so, nice find. I've searched through hundreds of dollars of nickels and have to find a silver war nickel. Call it beginners un-luckiness, as I just started CRHing a month or so ago.

Not looking to jinx myself; but, I'm hoping the box will contain a few more goodies. I'll post complete findings by end of week. Going to start unwrapping tonight once everyone is in bed and I get my alone time :)

Looking forward to seeing your results. Maybe that war nickel won't be alone...

Beginners Luck Updated

So the box turned out pretty good. Ended up with (3) War Nickels. a 43S, 43P and 45S. Also found a no date Buffalo, modern Canadian and even a Euro (that one surprised me). Definitely got me hooked to get more boxes. Also came across a 75' Jefferson that appears to be missing the "I" in Monticello. I took two pictures to see what you all think. Let me know. Pics below:

Pic of all Nickels I kept: Two top rows are all 59' and older

The next two pics are of the War Nickels and Buffalo

Next two pics are of the 75' that I do not see an "I" in Monticello nor do I even see an impression of an I where it should be...what do you think?
