Hello, wife was at school today, so I went out for a quick run. Hit about a dozen banks or so and got $800 odd in loose, fed, and cwr. Those had 1 90, 4 40s, a loonie, and a toonie. Not bad, but on the way back home I saw one more bank to hit up. I peeked over the counter and saw solid white and I asked if he had halves. He said "old ones or new?" and I said "I like both". He said if I had been fifteen minutes earlier, the other teller had a few hundred in halves (who knows what's in them), but I'll be gone the rest of the week for Thanksgiving. He counted up the halves and it was all walkers, more walkers than I've ever found up to this point. I hid my smile till I left. Totals are:
1935x2,36,37,39,40x2,41d,42x5,42s,42sx3,43x5,43s,44,45x3,45sx2,46

That is phenomenal! 30 walkers from a teller tray??? Wow. Most of us here will not find that many Walkers in years of searching. Congrats! That is super cool. I am amazed how ignorant some tellers are.

is that really possible? I'm going to begin asking, although I have always figured that the tellers scooped that stuff up

That's awesome! Yes it's possible. Not all tellers really no what they are. About 2 months ago I made a post about a good teller tray score. I got 24-40% and 9-90% 8 of them were franklins. So it happens but it's rare.

Nice Walker score GC - thanks to depressed silver prices the local jeweler is paying the tellers a buck a piece for silver halves, so there's not a whole lot of motivation for them.

I'd get back to that bank Monday to see if the other teller still has the rolls. You may hit the mother lode. (Even more so than you already have) Awesome find!
