Sooner or later the market has got to increase like back in 2011, just like silver & gold rose back then.

Why do people think this? Just like with gold and silver, we are still above the historic average price. Just because prices went nuts a few years back doesn't mean they will stay high, all you have to do is look at any historic metal price chart to see that.

Why do you think that the historic average is now all of a sudden an absolute max. Prices will "go nuts" again some time in the future (and then return to, or near, the historic average). All you have to do is look at any historic metal price chart to see that.

OP was not saying that the local highs around 2011 are expected to be the norm. Just that there will be highs again (someday - sooner or later, but not forever).

Completely true, but look at history. We went from the early 80s until the mid 2000s with virtually no change at all. Also, you'd expect prices to continue going down right now, since we are still quite a bit above normal. It's not that prices won't ever spike again, it's that it's completely unpredictable and you'd be far better off investing money in other ways.

Amen.

That is kinda true, except . . .

If you are committed to speculating on copper cents (and committed to getting them from circulation at face value), then there will never be a better time than right now to build the hoard. That is because the population of copper cents in circulation is continually being both depleted and diluted.
